Considering this, it is a timely opportunity to reflect on World IP Day 2024, celebrated on April 26, 2024, with the theme “IP & SDGs: Building Our Common Future with Innovation and Creativity”.
LexOrbis participated in various events to mark this day, cementing the role of IP in advancing innovation and sustainability. On April 24, Shikha Singh and Amit Jain attended the World IP Day Conference 2024 in New Delhi, organised by FICCI, exploring themes like IP and sustainable innovation. On April 25, Shikha Singh joined a UK-India roundtable on “IP and Sustainability: Global Partnerships and the Evolving IP Landscape in India”, hosted by IP Office UK, the Indian Patent Office, NLU Delhi, and CIIPC, while Saurabh Vaid represented LexOrbis at ASSOCHAM’s Global IP Leadership Summit discussing best practices in Life Sciences and Tech.
On April 26, Shikha Singh and Avi Garg presented sessions on “Identify Patentable Subject Matter in Dairy and Biological Science” and “How to Write Claims in a Patent Application” during the workshop on “Prerequisites for Sustainable Innovations in Dairy and Animal Science” organised by ICAR-NDRI, Karnal. Neha Ramani attended the EV Update Gujarat Summit in Ahmedabad, focusing on advancements in electric mobility, and Gaurav Phadnis conducted an IP awareness session at IIT Indore, inspiring the next generation of IP professionals.
As we reflect on these celebrations, we are reminded of the power of IP to protect solutions that address pressing global challenges, ultimately paving the way for a world that is both prosperous and sustainable for future generations.
